Installation

HULK earth anchors can be installed with a variety of light, medium and heavy installation equipment.

Anchor size, installation depth and project specifics will determine the size of installation equipment required. All applicable power sources and plant are readily available from most plant hire companies.

Hand Install

Installation of a Hulk HP25 earth anchor by hand with a hammer and HSH25 HULK Smasher Rod. Ideal for light installation of HP and H Range anchors in smaller quantities.

Jackhammer Install

Installation of a Hulk H50 earth anchor with a hydraulic jackhammer. Extendable HULK Smasher rods are available to suit most commercially available jackhammers. Ideal for installation of HP35 in larger quantities, H Range and HG Range anchors in smaller quantities.

Excavator Install

Installation of a HULK HG100 earth anchor with an Excavator and Mounted Breaker. HULK Excavator Adapters are available in various sizes to suit most commercially available equipment. Ideal for installation of H and HG Range anchors, especially in higher quantities.

Smasher Rods

The HULK Smasher Rods are manufactured from high quality impact resistant steels. They are available in a variety of combinations including Hand Smasher Rods, fixed length and extendable Power Smasher Rods, and have shank options for most types of powered installation equipment. HULK Smasher Rods are available in a variety of lengths from 0.9m up to 3m and various diameters.

ANCHOR LOCKING AND PROOF TESTING

To set the HULK earth anchor in the ground it needs to be Anchor Locked. This is achieved by pulling on the anchor tendon with HULK Anchor Locking equipment. The light duty anchor hook and medium duty anchor jack are quick and simple methods for activating small to medium HULK Earth Anchors.

The PT-45 and PT150 HULK Anchor Lockers are essential when installing HULK earth anchor in Light to Heavy installations to a specified load requirement. Designed to Anchor Lock and proof test simultaneously both can accommodate anchors installed vertically or at an angle to the ground. Anchor holding capacity is easily read on the calibrated gauge. Various attachments and fittings are available which allow attachment to different HULK earth anchor tendons.

PT45 PROOF TESTING JACK

The PT45 Proof Testing Jack can test anchors up to 45kN. A range of accessories are available for attachment to various HULK Anchor tendons.

PT150 PROOF TESTING JACK

The PT150 Proof Tester can test Hulk Earth Anchors up to 150kN. The quick release CTB jaws allow for easy attachment and release of the HULK Anchor CTB Bar.
